Valerie S. Snider

A native Oregonian, Valerie S. Snider, Paralegal and Office Manager, worked with Richard M. (Dick) Ginsburg for over 30 years.  Since his passing, she has continued to work with Danielle Perez.  Valerie has over 31 years of experience working on immigrant and nonimmigrant cases with the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and many American Consulates abroad.  She has experience with cases based on family relationships including adjustment of status and consular processing, derivative citizenship and naturalization cases, waivers of grounds of inadmissibility, business relationships, and deportation proceedings.

Valerie is bilingual in English and Spanish.  She graduated from Oregon State University in Corvallis, Oregon, in June of 1982 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish.   Over the years of her employment, she has extensively interviewed clients in Spanish, prepared correspondence and other documents in Spanish, and translated hundreds of documents from Spanish into English.  In March of 1993, Valerie was awarded the title of Certified Professional Legal Secretary by the National Association of Legal Secretaries.

One of the reason that Valerie has worked in the immigration field for so many years is her desire to be of service to the immigrant community and help them achieve their goals of permanent residence and U.S. citizenship.  She also served as a volunteer English tutor for several years at Centro Cultural in Cornelius, Oregon, and privately volunteered to tutor clients who were preparing to take the citizenship examination.
